We're Hiring a Part-Time Keyholder / Retail Sales Associate

Evening and weekend availability is required. This role is primarily scheduled for weekday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Applicants who are not consistently available during these times will not be considered.

Established in Tokyo in 2007, PUEBCO creates useful, everyday objects inspired by industrial design and crafted from recycled materials and found objects. Every product has a story, celebrating imperfections, utility, and thoughtful design.

We're looking for an experienced Part-Time Keyholder to join our Canadian flagship store at 640 Dufferin Street, Toronto.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, appreciates great design, and takes pride in creating beautiful retail environments. As a keyholder, you'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while helping maintain the visual standards, organization, and day-to-day operations of the store.

What You'll Do

• Open and close the store independently following established procedures
  Deliver warm, engaging, and knowledgeable customer service that reflects the PUEBCO brand
• Build relationships with customers by understanding their needs and recommending products that fit their lifestyle
• Actively contribute to achieving individual and store sales goals
• Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards throughout the showroom
• Merchandise new arrivals and continually refresh product displays to keep the store inspiring and visually engaging
• Ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, fully stocked, and welcoming at all times
• Receive shipments, replenish inventory, and maintain an organized back-of-house stockroom
• Accurately process sales, exchanges, gift cards, and customer orders through Shopify POS
• Develop a strong understanding of the PUEBCO brand, product assortment, materials, and design philosophy
• Support in-store events, promotions, and special initiatives
• Assist with creating engaging social media content, including Instagram Stories,
• Reels, product features, and behind-the-scenes content
• Collaborate with the team to continually improve the customer experience and overall presentation of the store
• Assist with additional day-to-day responsibilities as required
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a retail keyholder is required
• 3+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in furniture, home décor, lifestyle, fashion, or specialty retail
• Passion for design, interiors, home goods, or lifestyle brands
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Strong sales instincts with a genuine desire to help customers
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment
• Comfortable lifting and moving merchandise as required
• Basic computer proficiency
• Consistent availability for weekday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Flexibility to provide additional coverage during holidays and peak periods
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Shopify POS or similar retail point-of-sale systems
• Experience with visual merchandising and showroom presentation
• Experience creating social media content for a retail, design, or lifestyle brand
• Photography, styling, or content creation experience is considered an asset

Employment

Part-time. Approximately 15–25 hours per week, depending on seasonal needs and availability.

Compensation

Starting at $20/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for performance-based increases.
